Hi Shirley, not sure of the variety but very certain of the color. I had never seen any tree like this before. The patterns on the leaves really contrasted against that deep red. Have a great Lord's Day my friend.

Thanks Cas, was a very cloudy cold morning when I shot this. The red was still almost glowing even with the heavily overcast sky. Had to go to ISO 400 to be able to hand hold the shot. I am just working on trying some framing by using new canvases and some Gaussian blur. Have a great weekend.
