dear Saad other people before you told me they are always expecting the best for me, and i think thta's not fair because it transfer me a big responsability and I want to be free for posting bad images so do not expect too much for me; anyway, please, please I always accept negative but constructive critics, photography is my passion and i want to learn more and more, and you are one of the persons I respect their opinion a lot so keep going

thanks God that I am normal, and I have speared the fee of the consultation, and the new glasses(kidding).
dear JD,my eyes are used to the normals, and my job in normal life is to use my eyes to discover the abnormals, this why this shot puzzled me for a while, the posted one is not bad at all,but I have wanted some one to say it before me,it is my trend not to offend people from me,but with you, the case is different,I just want to see the very best of you all the time,my best regards and respect,
P.S You are better than normal,as I see you in your photos.

not at all, your sight is quite good, anyway my sister is a reputed ophtalmoligist so i can make an apponiment for you :)
let me explain this, you are right because sometimes I change the proportions of some images (even with people inside), does not bother me the if the facial expresions looks strange, well that's the idea, in this case I was looking for a constricted space as a reflection of something oppresive or painful, you know I'm rather abnormal :)
but original one is not bad too as you can see, probably many people will prefer it to my distoreted image nad sometimes even me prefer the normality of simple life :)
let me know
and my very best rgards dear Saad

Dear JD,at first round I have seen the shot,I have told myself there is something wrong with this shot, whether intensionally done or accidentally, what I have found,is that this is not the normal proportions of the human face dimensions,I felt like the shot being compressed horizontally, from the left to right in obvious way.
I said,it may be to exaggerates the sand waves, but it hurts the face in return,so I left it without commenting, waiting for the others to see what I have seen, but after 15 days, and many comments from fine and good peoples, and nobody have mention that,I have to consult an ophthalmologist to check up my visual acuity, and for new glasses,my best wishes, and always for the best,
Saad.

Nice shot, Txules. Like the angle of view & wide angle here. A sense of the circular movement...a dizziness...

The sand grains are small but there's a lot of them.

Luis interpretation is exactly how this visual feels Txules... I sat & just looked, before reading others comments, to see what I could *feel*...

The sensation I had was also of her world, spinning... Arantxa being at the centre of a vortex... Dare say it is the wind & vast emptiness of the scene adding this sensation plus the magic of your eye... The subtleness of colour & tones brings a melancholy to it also...

Excellent Txules...

Onie...

thanks Howie, you know I'm a man of high contrast BW pictures, but in this case low tonal range was intentional, is like an Holga picture, sometimes i feel that for intimacy it works well
but i take into account your advice as always :)
take care brother

Interesting composition but I feel it lacks a little contrast with this one, but thats just my taste.

Muy buena, la deformación que le aplicaste, el escenario descarnado y el título le pone el dramatismo que buscaste.

Bravo!

it's funny how different people feel an image; yes she is close to the camera but the room at the bkg is huge, looks like a traveller lost in the desert or maybe lost ine her own universe

Awesome presentation and excellent title to balance. I would say in Hindi - "Jio!"

No, I dont feel loneliness since Arantxa is so nearby the camera, the sadness I do feel. Yes, be proud, it is very intimate, she is naked as for emotions.
And usually we see our own emotions reflected in others ;-)

be well

actually Arantxa (her name) was trying to avoid the sand on her eyes because it was very windy and keep her headscarf placed in but yes she looks very sad, probably composition gives a sensation of loneliness as well; I'm very proud of this image :)

What I see is sadness, almost despair. Also it can ve the sand that is lost.

Not an easy image to look at. It's like she has no place to go. Between a rock and a hard place.
