About
This river is actualy part of the South Branch of the Raritan River located in Hunterdon County New Jersey. This scenic area is part of the Ken Lockwood Gorge. The South Branch of the Raritan River roars through the Ken Lockwood Gorge in the New Jersey highlands. Lots of fishermen especially in the spring. It is truly a wild and scenic river through the few miles of the gorge, particularly in the spring. There are big rapids, huge boulders in the water, calm pools, and tall hemlocks dominating the banks.
The hike in this gorge is simply a walk along the eastern bank of the river on a dirt road used by cars. If you happen to be here on a spring weekend, expect a crowd. Boulders are strewn throughout the river, with rapids, small waterfalls, and pools interspersed along the way.
Excellent capture, IMO: slight upper POV would have add more drama to the picture, if the flow of water could be captured then you it would be a perfect Picture.
