Thank you for the information about this plane Bill - I think that you should write this in the 'about' section as it is very interesting and I am sure that others would also be interested to know as well - but I am sure you would if you felt like it :)) Anyway I would never have known how interesting it is had I NOT ask so 'Thank You' once again my friend !

Hi Michele, Thank you for your interest in this airplane. It is a replica of one of the early S-38 Sikorsky planes that Osa and Martin Johnson used to explore the darkest areas of Africa and Borneo. They were exploring to determine what areas would be best for documentary movies. They also used a Sikaorsky S-39 single engine plane which was painted with Leopard spots. BILL
