certainly there is a wild dogs in KSA, Islam forbids their killings,as well,of course unless there is necessity for that like being diseased,or transmitting diseases.

OK, now I understand. I have still a memory that says I saw a troup of wild dogs but now I am not sure it was KSA. They looked wild as hyenas.
Maybe it was somewhere else.

dear Harry,Islam forbids treating a dog as a pet,in the meaning you have allowed to have a dog or as many as you like for work,guarding,controlling herds,but not to play with inside your home,while Islam forbids the dogs,it allows cats,horses,birds,and even sheep,this is why you haven't seen a dog in KSA,regards,

Agree, some dogs are really spoiled as if they were babies.
but.
Dogs have also been used and still are used for work, as a cheap horse. I wonder if I ever have seen a dog in my time in KSA....
But it is true, if man treats them well, they are mans best friend.

Harry,among all the pets,dogs are the best friends to the humans,this is a fact.
that is why humans domesticated them ten thousand years ago,now the dogs are spoiled a lot,and treated as the only friends by some old lonely peoples,
in Arabic we quote ,he is loyal like a dog,my regards,
