Lake Lucerne is one the most clear lakes of its size class over the whole wprld. Simply because it has the luck of such a quick date of exchange of its water, that it takes only 7 instead of 13 years for its whole water to be replaced by the new water that the streams bring. (If I remember well.) Still its clarity is nothing compared to the clarity of the river Rheuss here. So, I can't complain about having no photogenic water, really! ;-)
