About The Metaphid Jumping Spider is very small, less than 1/2 cm. This series is of extreme macros at about 4:1, using a macro-converter for the reproduction ratio and also using extreme apertures for depth of field. I am ambivalent about the use f/64 and f/90 because the diffraction seriously reduces image quality. They are "good enough" for the web but are not suitable for printing at full size. Nonetheless, I feel that the great depth of field does give the images strong dimensionality.
