Ola Meg, quetal ?
Agree, color and sharpness are not as modern digital cameras provide, its a slide from 2000.
Yes, it took me acrobatic tours to make this shot, balancing on the edge.
Yes I walked down instead of falling down ;-)
Will let you know when I visit Spain.
Abrazo, Harry

Nice to see your work again Harry!
Though the image could be a little sharper and the colour more natural you did extremely well to capture the depth of the drop from this bridge, something that is not always easy from your viewing point here. It's an amazing place,id you walk down to the bottom and look back up?
I live here in Spain now near Alora....next time you visit let me know. :)

The minolta has an excellent focus. Remember the shot I made from the aitplane ? One could see roads in a sandstorm , seen from 10 km height.
But the funny thing is when i drink to much ouzo the focussing is suddenly gone, dont understand why ;-)
No, did not see the bankervideo ;-(

In 2000 we had no affordable digital cams yet. So kodak ektachrome 64 was my fav film. When it was not available I took Agfa CT 100 , also very good but the ektachrome had that magic blue !

Woooo Big drop there Harry. Cant beat slide film. Beautiful colours. What was that one? 64asa? If it wasnt for the expence, id probably still use it. Digital is so much cheaper and anyone can do it. Cheers. Keith:)

Thanks a lot for the details about the making, Harry!
BTW, did the Minolta XG-M not offer a good focusing capability, or does it have a low resolution? Anyway, that kind of "redish" look keeps returning on several of your images. You seem to like it, don't you?
As about observation of a banker... there has been a very funny flash animation on the web, with an economist observing some index. But I can't find that anymore. There you could see how such people can really observe, and observe, and observe... ;-) Perhaps you have already seen that too?
Cheers!
Nick

I see what you mean nick. I did a SLiDE(C) conversion so thats ok. I did not enhance colors but i did play with the Gamma curve to give it a bit more contrast. It also enhanced the colors therefore but in a natural way !!!! so I let it as it was. Original slide is not supersharp, will have to travel to Ronda again with a D300 or so ;-) Thanks for your interesting observations, as to be expected from a 'Swiss' banker ;-) Gruetzi mein freund, Sie haben es gut gesehen. This one took my attention right out from its thumb, Harry! A good composition with strong sense for geometry and perspective! I thought first that adjusting levels could bring more contrast, but it only reduced that nice redish light. (Attachment). For some reason it looks as if it could get a slight sharper focus, but in this case I think that this could be also a visual illusion (to a big part) because of that special lighting.
Good view!
Nick

Ahjusted levels for more contrast but then the special light almost disappears |
