Great job, Dave! There is something about hay bales that bring out the photographer! I like the sepia rendering which gives it the old fashioned look. Eb

I like this farm; that round bales and the barn are harmonious. Good post processing.

As an "Old Farmer" I love these old farm scenes especially with the barns in the background. The Sepea works very well here also. Del.

Dave,
Great shot...however I would look at maybe cropping out the trees...it would give the image a little more impact...I hope you don't mind...but I just did a quick crop to show you what I was thinking...Have a Great Day.:)
Best Wishes, Chuck

Excellent compostion Dave. I often looks a fields with the round bales and wonder how I can use them effectively in a shot. The barn in the bg really add to the composition as well. Regards, Joe

Very beautiful setting and taken with good perspective, I really like how you have composed it. The sepia is great but I bet this is also very beautiful in color. Alison

Nice effect with the Sepia and quite a good composition. The shot looks well balanced and actually looks like the area around where I live, quite a common sight this time of the year. Well done.

Good details and perspective on a well balanced composition, Dave! It does convey that certain touch of "the country" very strongly. Perhaps this is also the result of some subtle "soft contrast" that seems to be all over the image. BTW, the raising of contrast through levels adjustment totally changes the image into something less suggestive and more "real". (Attachment).
The trees at the left of that house (or whatever it is) are the only point of critique for me. Clone them off?
Cheers!
Nick

Adjusted levels for contrast - and the atmosphere is gone. |
