Excellent shot, not just a gull, the reflection adds a lot here... well...sometimes we need just some "drops" to add that very nice effect, love the tight frame... I bet a shot taken from not a very closed point of view.
be well my friend.

Great shot, excellent composition and colours Dave. The colours are good in Nicks version as well BUT the froth at the edge of the water looks correct in yours and like Jelly with more contrast.
But thats just my preference.
All the best
Tony

It is not easy to film bright white but you did a good job.
I also like the reflection. Del.

Dave,

Great shot and use of the birds reflection in the sand...I noticed that you use "reflections"...by the way I know you know this already, but using reflection is one of the visual communications techniques called "Reflective" which can be a powerful tool when used corretly and you seem to have it down and make it work...Great job!!! 7/7

Best Wishes,
Chuck

One of your best images of animals, Dave! The seagull stands exactly as it should do for a nice view! The colors around the bird make a compliment for its own shape and details which are quite clearly captured. Especially the sharpness on and around its eye fits exactly its way to look out, to be aware of what is going on around. Wildlife, really! The reflection on the wet sand complements the composition on the bottom, and the textures of the blue water on the top.

For myx eyes it could get better with a bit more contrast which also "enriches" tones. (Attachment - already too much?)

Cheers!

Nick
