Not sure what you're getting at with those shadows, but with infrared the shadows usually look quite dark (I think because IR is not scattered so much by the atmosphere and hence does not "fill" the shadow areas).
The Olympus C-2100UZ doesn't have an IR "mode" as such, I just use an IR filter (Hoya R72) which passes IR and blocks almost all visible light.

beautiful photo Wayne,I know nothing about IR photography,but I have seen many photos at UF using Nikon cameras and they said it was an infrared mode, what about this Olympus?
and just asking,is the overshadows at the lower edge of your photo is normal in IR ?
