The only striking thing about this shot is that you tried to convey the sense of loneliness without actually including a figure. It is to be assumed by the viewer that it is HE/SHE that is standing there and absorbing the loneliness.
As I told you before, this is not exactly my type of shot, but that takes nothing away from your effort. :)
