Excellent picture beautifully composed (1 hour waiting was worthfull I think). Of course, as some critics told you, the butterfly better was a little sharper but still the most important is to show it is in movement above those very well-captured almost 'waiting' flowers. Best regards, Jan

Yes, that's the "normal" way to do that, Saad. Since a narrow aperture for maximum DoF would likely turn the speed too slow to avoid motion blur, you just open the aperture, focus the flower and wait. The rest of it is sharp timing, i.e. to press the shutter button exactly when the insect is in focus. And of course it is also what you wanted to have, which includes pretty much of anything, even blurring.
Still for me it looks like wanting to get the insect as perfect as possible, which here was partially successful. So when the intention is "half the way through" it looks OK but something is missing.
Cheers!
Nick

thank you dear Nick, again for the dissection, which is a good one indeed, but just for your knowledge,I am hunting this butterfly for more than half hour to settle on one flower, and I couldn't,it is very fast flying and have very fast wing speed and I can not focus on it at all,but I focus on an expected flower that I think it will settle, and this one is the best among tens,it even just touch those flowers and run away for all, best of me,Saad.

The flowers in the front are really strong, Saad! They pop out of the soft background in such a power of light/color and shape! A bit sharper focus especially for their centers could raise the emphasis there. The insect could also have a bit better sharpness, though several details of it are already visible.
The composition is very well balanced, especially considering the focus separation of the foreground and the background.
Cheers!
Nick

Yeah, my stupid error ;p Bees don't have this long curled proboscis like butterflies, it's obvious, but I guees I was kinda looking at those stripes. I still think that those not sharp wings are more interesting :) My best regards, Ania

dear Ania, thank you I just want to clarify that this not a bee,it is a kind of butterfly called Celerio Lineata,it has a curled proboscis which will extends to suck the honey from flowers,it has very fast wings movement, by a shutter speed of 1/320 I couldn't able to still its wings ,my best, Saad.
