Yes you could colour them in with photoshop after ;-).
True IR is completely colourless as the wavelengths are above the visible light spectrum.
What you see here is the effects of a near IR filter and the digital white balancing of the camera creating a false colour scheme.
Here is the shot straight off the camera with the white balance set on the grass using the camera's custom white balance evaluation

Yes Peter, I am not sure what it is but it seems like the photo's are clearer, I guess not so many colours flooding the mind. Yes I am continually suprised how certain things appear in IR

Unbelievable how much detail. In those beautiful reflections, you can still see the ripples. Is there any way of making the trees green again or is that not IR. Forgive me for being dumb.:)

Wow, this reminds me of a picture i took last year, near a dead calm pool like you did here .. i had the cam for some months, and i was in awe how such scene rendered in IR ... great work Dan !

Hi Harry, thank you so very much for your kind and encouraging words. I am glad you feel I am getting better, I am truely honoured my friend. I feel that I understand the IR process much better now from lots of experiments am applying my learned knowledge. Still have plenty of room for improvement and look forward to your critques in the future, either good or bad to help me get better.
