About Have a beer... have a dog (hot dog... weiner... frank... whatever) and kick back by the fire. Life slips and slices through... passes on... and often, very often we take no notice... have a beer on me ( and being the good conservative Republican I am, I do NOT give things easily) have a hotdog... sit a spell by the fire... and listen and think about life slicing by...

A favourite time for me too. Must set one up. Been trying make the most of the dark this winter for the boys. Chirstmas lights set up round the house (they mean so much less set up mid summer her in the antipodes).

well Jimmy.. different sides of the globe.. it was cool, dark, cloudy (broken) and full moon last night .. I photographed it.. from the carpark at Muswellbrook Fair.. well that’s what they call it.. not a tent or jester in sight.. leaning up against the trolley collection fence.. just before I went to the grog shop and bought a bottle of brandy.. for cookin’ not drinking.. (we do Margaritas at our place..) and I got another dozen Kangaroo Tail Merlots.. went home re photographed the full moon breaking through the clouds then cooked dinner.. (then LL came home 6.30pm) all inside... rack of lamb, mashed potatoes, carrots, snow peas and some peppered mushrooms.. I overdid the lamb which peeved me.. We like it rare.. we washed and dried up (Lachy has moved away to Tamworth and Eliot was staying at his GF’s last night..) I then retired to the studio for an hour and worked on the pics for the gallery (which I had been doing all afternoon after I dried the clothes in the dryer due to the constant cloudy dampish weather lately, did the ironing) I was telling you about.. then came down to the house and stoked up the fire.. and set it for the night, poured the last out of a Makers Table Merlot.. and went to bed to read the paper from Saturday.. (I had finished the novel I began on Sunday, yesterday [Tues] morning.. The Last Enemy by Richard Hillary..) so was forced to read the paper.. then, turned on the telly to watch Lateline and Lateline Business.. (yeah I still like to try and keep up...) and so whilst not the same as your night, it was exactly the same.. cheers bro and a nice pic too
