Thanks Gary, actually the trees are probably indigenous but the ground is covered by introduced weeds !

Ok Saad, I found this (glad you asked actually !):
"The Yarra River was called Birrarrung meaning "Place of Mists and Shadows" by the Wurundjeri tribe."

Birrarrung is a place name (actually the name of a park) so it's unlikely to be in a dictionary.
Actually, if you had a dictionary of Australian Aboriginal words you might find it !

G'Day Wayne not sure about the strength of the colours in this shot.. they seem a tad rich, but I do love the confusion of branches esp in the centre distance, nicely resolved landscape

It's an Australian Aboriginal word, Saad. It's the name of this place, which probably hasn't changed in appearance much since it was first named. I like the painting-like quality of this image, Wayne. Reminds me of a Fred McGubbin. Regards, Gary
