thank you for your comment and very interesting and very informative story...
Yes,Yamil's photos are impressive , but I am still far away from good shot of those amazing birds...I saw that look in his eyes , and thought it's great story to show ... Here are Griffon Vulture in mountain near my home town...they were almost exterminate,but last years people try to increase population of those amazing birds...I hope I'll be able one day to make some good shots of these birds , not i cage but in their home....

Mi commuove perchè un'acquila in gabbia è un'offesa alla Natura stessa . E poi gli occhi del soggetto che guardano in sù verso il cielo azzurro , verso la libertà...
Spero tu sia intervenuta a liberarla.

These American Bald Eagles are making a very big come-back in the area of our cottage 200 miles north of Toronto. Up until 2 years ago there were not any sited in the area for over 50 years. But last year there were many sitings. One flew right over me while I was in a kayak. At first I thought it was a large Great Blue Heron. But, there was no mistaking it when it got closer. Of course, I did not have the camera. :)

What a beautiful shot with good natural light, sharpness of details and color softness. Our friend Olga does not agree with me but I believe ; Zoos are modern prisons that we buil for our passion. In fact the human dont know true meaning of the freedom as Eagle knows or feel it.

Its sad to see this eagle in a cage, they belong high above the mountains, where they can see the whole area and keeping an eye on earth for us....
