About The Arlington West site is erected every Sunday by volunteers coordinated by the local chapter of the Veterans for Peace, an organization of "Veterans Working Together for Peace & Justice through Non-violence." There is another Arlington West temporary cemetery site on the beach every Sunday at Santa Monica, California. More than 4000 US solders and a staggering number of more than 650,000 Iraqis died ever since this war started.
These memorials silently ask the question, Why War --- and demand a credible answer. Out of 600 members of Congress, only one has a child in the military.

Thanks Saikat,
Yes I agree with you. Since I attended this memorial, I can't forget how it touches you once the volunteers explain in facts and figures. If it touches that’s where it succeeds, it portrays the message. It’s much more than having a wow.

Thanks Saeed,
It might be. I came accross the numbers during their campaign at the site and searched a bit on the net. Day by day this number is growing, give peace a chance.

Thanks Wolf,
Yes it is a very high number. I am just conveying a message what the veterans are trying to do, so that it is seen by others and they think about it.

War anywhere any place is wrong. Coz its a total waste of precious life, leave alone the cost and damage to it.

I can agree with you about US solders around 5000 , but the Iraqi victims of Bush/Cheney Empire is well above 650,000 by far.
well done.

" 650,000 Iraqis died ever since this war started. " thats a hell lot ..!

The leaders usually go free ( except Saddam )

Fabio Keiner   {K:81109} 5/27/2008
nobody remembers the victims of us-aggression in iraq (and elsewhere), though
...
americans should rather fight for a decent living at home (against their war-criminals in government), than for the profit of oil-speculators in iraq (the bush-gang's henchmen)
