Nicely done...it conveys people moving about not caring about this street person

This image works on a number of levels for me. When I saw the thumbnail I thought the still figure was a person in robes meditating (yeah I know, my eyesight..). It's ironic that developed societies value more those people who rush around making money, and never find the time to be still with their thoughts. And many of those that are still are wasted and so never appreciate their inner wealth.. Regards, Gary

Muy bueno el efecto, una imagen de fuerte y cruel mensaje, ante la pobreza todos pasan de largo ignorándola, pero con ignorarla no deja de existir ni se resuelve.
Un gran trabajo en mi opinión...:-)

Well executed. the motion of the people as they pass the lone figure has a powerful effect. andy

The post processing is very good.. the desaturation actually enhances the story. Just a small tip: be a bit careful when you are shooting a picture of a homeless person.. sometimes they get upset and can get rude !

I don't think you should be nervous as you don't PLAN to do anything. Excellence comes to you naturally. You'll continue to do great work as you can't do otherwise.

Dear Sounak, thanks for your words, but actualy i feel very nervous now, not sure why everybody expect something special from me, it gives me a lot of pressure :) I tell you, I took three pictures, very similar with a small aperture to blur the passing people post-process was very easy: I made a gentle selection of the beggar, feathered the selection, inverted and desaturated a bit, that's all take care and thanks again....txules

Now this is SPECIAL. Once in a while you pull up a rabbit out of the hat. And this is the one.
Bravo.
I'd like to know about the technical details of the shot.
Regards.

Unfortunately a common scene downtown San Francisco where everyone is too busy to see the less fortunate. A wonderful place to visit but certainly a place where you see more beggars than any other place in the states. Your photo is very touching, absolutely outstanding. To my favorites! Best, Julie.
