A good amount of details here, Dave, that still doesn't go into the artificially oversharpened and thus unnatural views of nature. It is this why it stays so natural, I guess. There is some subtle tendency towards the lights, but it doesn't make it look "arranged" at all. Quite the contrary, I would say. A bit more enhancement of your main subject could bring more"life" into it. BTW, was that your maximal zoom in?
Cheers!
Nick

Great capture, not easy to put a move on the owl. I never have had my camera when I have jumped the Great Horns around my area but plan on being better equipped when I get close again. Way to push the lens out there, be well, Stan

Considering the distance it is a very sharp shot. I am also glad to see "dads" get some attention. We dads are still feeling neglected after all the attention given to Mother's day. Yes he does look more like sleeping than keeping watch.

Interesting how the feather pattern mimics the pine bark in this image, Dave! You are way out there in focal length and are losing some quality - but, why not, to get this shot! Eb
