Another image I shot (with flash 'cos I didn't know how to turn it off...lol...) using Hayley Ash's tiny lightweight dig camera.
These guys are my sons :) :) :) The band is CLINT FLICK, a heavy metal punk thrash band.
Shot Feb 2008 in their home studio.
PP work: Colour balance, a little smoothing, unsharp mask.
Not my "usual" style of photographing ANYONE or ANYTHING, since I generally use heavy film cameras without flash, but I am just happy that I grabbed a few "snap shots".
All constructive criticism based on above info highly appreciated! Thank you! :) :) :)
I don't know... perhaps once Hayley and I can work out how to change the ISO setting and hopefully the apeture/shutter speed etc, I won't mind using her mini dig camera (and again bless her heart for allowing me to use the little silver lightweight thing that looks nothing like a camera to me! LOL!!!)
This is a snap shot. Nothing more, nothing less.
I used to borrow Colin Porter's "more professional" dig camera from time to time, but it is as heavy as some of my ancient film cameras, so I can't do that anymore.
I'll just see how I go, and also try not to flood my portfolio with too many pics of CLINT FLICK! LOL! I hadn't remembered/realized just how many frames I had shot of them that day in late Feb! Perhaps I could get arty in PS and do something with close ups of the machine head of a guitar, as I have a shot or two of things like that too. (I "accidentally" managed to find the zoom function on Hayley's camera... hehe...)
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. You are a cherished friend.
I kinda like the composition. I did not crop it at all. Flash fall off is not too bad on this one, as my younger son left of viewing frame has rather dark skin. (Info supplied so not to be mistaken for flash fall off).
No, not my fave music either, but I like to hop in there occasionally and belt one out with them. :) :) :)
Their stage performance is amazing! They are outrageous and amusing = most entertaining. :)
And yes... naturally... I am very proud of all of my chldren, and also get on well with CLINT FLICK's drummer and associated friends. That's a plus! Doesn't make me feel so old... ROFLOL!
