Its an electronic valve they used from 1935 onwards. Lateron they invented the transitor and later the "pentium" .

that is absolutely excellent shot... impressive lamp... or I must say trangistor... hehe, not so good on these but surely the shape and the elements into it makes a good macro, an original I can say!

Alain, its not Sovjet though they must have copied it for sure. The part is basically an amplifier for eg music or radio.

Old valve amps have only uneven harmonics I remember while transistor stuf produces enen and uneven. Well, something like that ....

Hey Wolf,
don't understand much of the about, something with music amps I suppose but since I'm not a very musical talented person it doesn't matter. What does matter is that this is a very good presented and executed product photograph! First look gives the impression of something Soviet...with the codes and so :)
