Dear Morad, I'm very confused. Still I think I would do it again if I were to take a photo like this. I really like the contrast between the body of the trombonist and her blond hair and the top of her trombone. Maybe her body is too pale but sith some warmification I would still go for the contrast. I don't know if it is a matter of bad taste or lack of technical competence. regards, Behrouz

Looks like your partial desaturation has shaken up the house:):) but actually this composition would also look nice in B&W.

Here is a less saturated viewpoint which you might prefer!

Behrous, An unusual angle of view, different from the normal viewpoint. Like others, I don't understand why you did whatever you did. I much prefer the original shot without the desaturation. I have taken the liberty of doing some adjustment of my own, hope you like it.

Hi Dave, thanks for your comment. I'm happy that the saturation didn't catch your eyes immediately. The reason for the saturation has to do with the shine on the upper part of the instrument. But anyhow please let me know if you like this one better.

Lots of views in just a few minutes, somehow eyecatching on the thumbnail. It took me a while to understand the desaturation on a gradient thing, but I still don't understand the why part of it. Cadaveric skin tones below, saturation above. She plays with ear protection, good for her.
Not sure it is very flattering for the subject -- I guess I have to agree with Mervo.

You know, now I feel bad for saying what I said, but it was an honest opinion. I hope you didn't take offence Behrouz. Thanks!

She looks like she needs a good warming up - not sure that the graduating desaturation works here - not sure why you chose to do it at all. Sorry, I don't see the merit in this photograph.
