The composition is very styrong here, with everything well placed. Does look a little soft though, and I think it would benefit from some sharpness - obviously from a tripod - but did you use the self timer for this? Maybe a bounced flash onto it? The image being essentially duotone (green and red) works very well too.
BTW from another coolpix photographer - have to love the macro capability.

I have a CP 5700 as well but not in a million years I'll be capable to shoot a macro like this. So you see, the diference is the photographer.
Great crop. It looks as if the flower is exploding. Perfect colors and fine details.
