A good example of a portrait that keeps the look and feel of a child without neglecting the photography quality just out the too usual affection to "sweetness" - and we see that everyday here. The timing was good, and so was also the lighting, in its exceptional details of the dark fabric in front of the very highlighted background. Alone for that it deserves a fat 7, since the fabric is really tangible the haptic way, visible, and also hearable in all its fine sound as it moves and flows.
And then the excellent plasticity of the face of the small girl adds even more impact.
So, for those talking about the "sweet little princess", sorry friends but you completely missed the point. This is *photography* in its best, and the acknowledgement goes not to the subject but to the *intriguing way* that Ben captured the subject! Or else we don't know what we're talking about, and this would be a pity for Ben and his excellent photography, to trivialize his hard work down to "sweet princess" like that!
Keep it up Ben!
