I wanted to record all the tones I saw in this scene on the evening, which cannot be done satisfactorily in one shot. It was too breezy to blend more than one exposure as the tree branches tend to 'ghost' unless the scene is completely still. I have managed a work-around and this photograph comes very close to my vision. So until the conditions are right for my plans, this is the shot! St Saviour's Reservoir, the only real 'lake' on Guernsey is so peaceful in the evening. Aside from the voices of the odd jogger or walker occasionally carrying across the water, birdsong and the breeze in the trees are all there are to be heard - a rare thing on a small island. Comments are always welcome ;o)
