Very nice capture. Yes, I strongly believe that happiness does not depend on how rich or poor you are.
About photography, the rule of three works pretty well here. one more positive point is that the childrens faces are not turned outside, rather towards one another, which helps to keep the viewers attention within the image area. For lighting, probably you could improve it by using fill flash. Overall it is a very pleasing image. Nice job.
