A view of some of the villages in the Sanjiang Dong Autonomous Prefecture of northern Guangxi. A very interesting place indeed, and I was lucky enough to visit over the recent Lunar New Year holiday.
To the left you can see the Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge spanning the Linxi River, and you can also see parts of the eight villages that make up this region. To the right of top centre there's a drum tower (gu lou) and to the right of that you can see what appears to be a middle school for the area (two yellow buildings).

hi James. This perspective is quite spectacular in color as well as composition. The rudimentary development in the valley is still attractive and seemingly intigrated with the surrounding landscape. Quite a beautiful perspective. Cheers, Tim
