most of the timr i dont like this technic but here it seems that there no other way to present it the way you wanted it.
the orange capture the eye first and then we see the whole picture and the feeling change dramaticly(as you probably plan).it almost pardoxaly that the main subject is the orange and not the poor men.
very well done

after i shot this photo i went next to him and tried to talk to him, but he only wanted some cigarettes!!
i wish these problems will be solved soon but unfortunately in big cities, people did not care about them and this makes the proplem worse!!

The most I love about this shot is good desaturation and through this orange your wish and hope ... but what can and how can we help them as individuals ... not much ... :(((

Yes it has been for years a great epidemic and seems getting worst every day…Personally I do what best possible than waiting for the government, also to many sad stories regards people photographing them sometimes they force them to pose the way Photographer’s wand if not they don’t give them the monetary support they promised,I know because I talk with them but I don’t photograph!Your sharing photo has make a good argument, thank you for it!
