Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Andre! Well, I might be going for Natinal Geographic too ;-)
The celebration was rather "easy" but it was good having some more peaceful time with old friends. I hope you also had a great time and that you start the bew year full of (photographic) energy.

No problem, John. I also had only problems posting comments and replies until today. Who knows what happened again...
Let's hope it will be working from now on.
Cheers,
Nick

John, thanks a lot for the nice comment and above all for the suggestion. Trying to follow your idea, I rotated the image 45° to the left, and though I can't save much of it because of the too strong rotation, I think that I know what you mean about what it could look like. I attach the rotated image - perhaps one can imaging the missing parts too. It would be more modern and perhaps a more original composition, but at the same time less "straight", I guess. The idea of a straming water appears also very attractive to me! I'll have to try that out with a longer exposure.
Thanks a lot again for all the ideas and all the best too!

There is more that can be done here. I like the basic shot you have. You could rotate the camera to get the water going diagonally. You might step back a bit to get the whole head. and you might take a slow shot on a tripod to stream out the water. You are right, the title says it all. Happy new year - JB
