I think that this belongs to the few most important things in doing photography or anything else. While there will be of course influences too, at the end one has to get that personal signature or else we stay at the level of just imitations.

This is a very thoughtful comment, Nick. It's always refreshing to hear from others what they think my 'style' is, since I feel I am still developing one.
You got that blue feeling very strangely here, Paul! It is summer-like, but then again not really, as the sky and the water look so heavy! Much like a summer that exists only in mind, perhaps as a pure remembrance of a summer that has been real. The absolute focus that preserved all details makes it real, and then the coloring makes it again unreal. I could say that this is one of the elements of your personal signature - to make things look beyond the real but still staying in this world. And that guy on the dock adds such a string surreal look..
