Hi AJ, The tough thing here is that I may not be seeing it the same as you. If you look online with 3 different computers this image may look radically different depending on the video card setting as well as the Monitor settings. If you like what I did then I guess the comment had the desired effect, despite this common problem. I often get comments that my work is to saturated and i then reexamine the shots not finding this to be so from my monitor. When i look at them on my girlfriends computer I am shocked at how different it is....lol.... Cheers Tim

Many thanks, Tim, and no, I don't mind at all - quite the opposite, in fact. I would be very happy if people here were to make suggestions for improvements more often, and perhaps get into a more extended dialogue on occasion.
I had already upped the contrast somewhat, for the reason you suggest. But I stopped before the point where I felt the colours were starting to become a little unrealistic. Looking at your version, I guess I could have gone a little further.
With best wishes, AJ

I find this shot interesting compositionally but it needs more contrast to bring out the potential drama in my opinion. I adjusted it slightly using levels. Hope you don't mind me posting the adjustment with this comment.

Many thanks Robin. What I was after here was to convey the shape of the horse, while having as little horse in the picture as possible and while maintaining the centre of attention on the Inspector. And yes, it was a very busy background of fencing, cars and houses...
With best wishes for Christmas, AJ

Perspective, fantastic...exposure, spot-on (again)...dof, perfect for losing the seemingly busy background...nicely done AJ.
Happy Holidays...Robin

Actually Ann, he's more interested in grooming and poise than road worthiness - and that's just the Inspector!

Does he give Horsey road worthy certificates? I like the angle of view, A.J. and the look of concentration on the Inspectors face. A Merry Xmas to you. "See" you next year.:)
