In my POV the square choice it just brilliant. Is she flirting with you or does she think how you might taste. ;) LOL The way she twinkles with the eye almost makes she thinks that. Well never the less, another great shot with marvelous details and tones. Sascha

Even better! Yes, that's it! Now the image has absolute integrity and still offers much of the details of a real scene!
Which shows me that there are many ways to make it look nice! And for which I thank you very much, Doyle!

Thanks very much Nick . . . I'm not sure I'd like to clone the green grass blades out . . . though it might look better . . . I'm not sure it'd be something I could do well. I wonder, though . . . what would you think of a hue shift to pull the green into a dead grass similar color instead? (Quick example added). As always, great to hear from you!

Doyle, I wished I could see this one in all its glory but still I can imagine what it must look like without the limitations of the site. Not only the details are mind-boggling but that also that extraordinary light of orange-brown tones on her fur, and above all the moment for shooting. Exactly when she seems to ask "what do you want from me?".
The only thing that disturbs the pure sight of those tones is the green at the lower right. It just seems to interrupt the flow of those warm tones, so do you think it could be removed but without chaning anything else?
Great work!

Thanks Ann . . . you should have a blast. While I've never been, Marlyce tells me the San Diego Zoo is a MUST. She's been wanting me to go there with her for a while now, but plan on spending a couple of days if you want to see it all . . . I hear it puts the LA Zoo in another class! It's also close to Sea World. So that's my suggestion. If you get to LA, perhaps a lunch with Marlyce and I might find some time . . . and a lighthouse to look at if we make it a picinic lunch. I know how hard it is too find time . . . so no bad if you can't . . . just an offer. :) I'm green with envy!!

Fantastic detail and colour, Doyle, and pin sharp.I feel as if I could reach out and touch her. (I'm silly enough to do that, too!!) A beautiful image. Where did you take it? I'm hoping to go to L.A. myself next year to start a driving tour of the States. Plan to visit as many of the big zoos as possible. Any reccommendations?:)

Well . . . I haven't a clue what I said. That's how we genuisi (actual plural form of genuis by those 'in the know') swing. I have never seen a once cen*sore*d comment make an appearance. It might be a sign of Armegeddon when they all start getting checked and popping up, eh? ;)

Yep...got it...read it over and over and over...and for the life of me, can't figure out why it got bumped *insert look of utter confusion here*.
Once left a comment containing the word pr*ick*ly...it's still in the vast wasteland of "offensive" comments, patiently waiting to be analyzed and let through. Uh, yeah right!

No fuzziness here...other than the expected, well no...not expected fuzziness...expected furriness, of the lioness...oh, you know what I mean...great clarity! Her eyes, especially her left...spot on...I can even see the unruly, fly-away piece of hair (fur) on top of her head.
Your for-no-obvious-reason-what-so-ever-square crop (which BTW, I'm not buying because she forms a nice diagonal line within the frame, and that was NO accident) works really well Doyle.
Love the tones...is it me or does your Nikon "favor"(for lack of a better word) the warm tones? They always seem richer than the other tones...just wondering if you've noticed a difference between your cameras.
OK...think I'm done now. No dropping shoes, no comments about eccentric clothing choices...just a well done, way to go, high five...excellent, and a 7!
Take care...Robin
