Regardless of what everyone else has to say, I like this photo for what it is, and it brings back some old memories of hanging on the gulf with old friends, sharing stories of photography, women and booze, also sharing equipment with the same old friends, hey I think I may have had that lens that you used on this scene attached to my camera once! EXCELLENT!

Pretty wide view with no subject to look at. Maybe some contrast ? I attached an edited image. I created a mask of the sky. Converted to RGB. I added 100% nlack on the neutrals

It is indeed a good thing however I feel that this image lacks in composition and "bite". It's too wide for a scene so empty i'm afraid in my opinion you could only save this with a stormy sky and big waves.
I wonder though, did you do some candids of the old chap on the deck chair? Now there's a scene worth capturing!
