Amazingly dramatic backdrop, Shirley! It could be as if at the edge of a volcano. To me, it seems that the silhouette is flawlessly blended to the background, whereas the alternative versions look more contrived.

I like all three but the one chosen by Christine is my favorite combination.As others have commented,the integration of the figure hasn't quite worked out but selections,especially of hair are horribly difficult and I don't think I would have even attempted to do this one!!As j esford commented,you have the skills-as we've seen in the past-so maybe you could do another version but keeping that fantastic rocky background!

Wow Shirley, this is a tricky one....the transition from silhouette to background is a difficult one with the wisps of hair and outline of lower body. It's a great concept, but technically you have your work cut out for you in the details. If you can make it work flawlessly (as you have before) it will be an award winner. I personally would like to see more of a feathered (see-through) outline of the lower dress portion back-lit. Good luck. Great imagination and conceptual design. Best regards, -john

Sometimes I'm CAUSTIC, this is a really well composed and created image.- For me the tones are with a hard saturation of red and yellow.- And other comment the model, your friend is near the left border, a little more "AIR" in that border..and some ells more details in the cloth (are they...?) By that way can be in a international contest, the blurring soft light in the background is perfect.- OK ...Cheers.- LUIS 6/7:)

Another Excellent image by You dear Shirley ..I like this image Christine chose the best...altho there is no sunrays (which are very cool as in the other 2))
I like the silhouette and the feel of the rocky type hill altho it feels like a mountain....The colors soo soft add to this incredible mood ! One of my favorite shots my friend !!

I like the version posted but I can see why it wouldn't be your first choice. Christine does look a little 'added' to the scene. Given the subject it was created for the 2nd choice below is most likely what I might have used. I just like how the sun rays blend the figure into the picture better. They are all very good compositions though. Very good work!
