Wow beautiful haunting deep image. Really well done. Love the foreground at the bottom dark but still very much in the image that leads right into the tree. Very nice Robert.

Beautiful IR work Robert .. the feel about the trees and sky is great .. my only remark would be the large shaded band in the bottom, i would personally crop perhaps 2cm .. congrats for the BIP award !! Peter

Thanks for the critique Joggie, you are the second person mentioning the composition but the size of the tree needs foreground to sit on for a balancing. This was a three image stitch btw. Take care Robbie Sorry for the delay in repling.

A very well deserved distinction for its unimaginable lighting and details, Robbie! The tree almost "switches" to some unknown creature in some unknown world, as if it were under the spotlight for presentation. I find the dark bottom out of focus not really contributing anything. It could be cropped off. Still an excellent image of nature but quite authentic and not usual at all.
All the best,
Nick
