The abouts of this series are a mixture of disappointment and wrath against the highly polished lies of the very hypocritical society of Switzerland. That much is true. But such things are very necessary in the process of the necessary criticism that could perhaps wake up some few people.
For example, yesterday I read that Switzerland is on the very last place (internationally!) considering perception of the "roles of man and woman" in professional life (working, career, and the like). Behind countries like Dubai, or India, or China! It is also a fact that it is the country holding the world record for mobbing. Now, when at the same time the citizens exhibit that kind of self-convinced attitudes (we are the best, and the like) it is only merciless exposure of that hypocricy that can change some things for the better. (Only *can*).

How do you come to this conclusion, Mahassa?
Well, first of all this is a series of which the greatest part has been shot some years ago. As already said, I don't post any of my recent images, simply for having the time to win some distance to them. So what you may "read" on them is already past.
Second, and this is more important, about my texts in the about box, and several replies... I think that this subject is too serious in order to be taken hilariously. The endless run for the job is a very sad reality for itself. And it gets even sadder, when at the same time a society pretends to live in some kind of "paradise" where this "never happens". Unfortunately this belongs to the very attitudes of most people around here, who prefer to still feed such myths about "ideal places", instead of accepting that they also feed a very faceless and inhuman production machine, in the name of their own prosperity - a machine that already started to kill without mercy.
Now, considering that at the same time for example the very luxurious and expensive libraries are almost always empty (because nobody has the time), I of course have to question the hymnes to swiss life quality that they base on the fact that their work allows them to move to some even bigger house or to visit yet another exotic land. As you can see the social crisis is very real here, and such things just *have* to be considered not isolated from each other but rather in an interdependent way.
Last thing to say, I am not on this world for being only happy. I must also have my own mental struggles on the try to at least understand something. I must have my wrath, my cynicism, my overheated word fights, or even my own personal social crisis! ;-) (This is what happens to you, after you have believed too strongly that the place you live in is perfectly human, sincere, all the good things, you know. ;-))

Thanks a lot for the nice and detailed comment. Indeed, such a depiction of some time counting instrument makes the image look very "true", "real", "physical" - or name it as you like. I wish only that the overexposure on the clock's face would be less strong.

Hi Nick,
Just a quick comment before I rush off to get in the line of stop and go traffic that will take me to work. (sounds like a photo series ;) Anyway, I like this one with the clock as a frame of reference. The recording of a frozen minute in time seems to do something special for an image that is hard to express. It makes everything "real" somehow.
I am enjoying this "day in the life series"
