So, after what seems like an eternity of waiting, I'm off to Italy tomorrow for a month. To say I am excited is something of an understatement...
I want to apologise in advance to the good people of Italy for subjecting you to my Italian. The words above are an Italian tongue-twister, based around the letter 'r'. Now... the letter 'r' and I have a strained relationship... for the last 10 months or so I have gone to bed at night dreaming of being able to roll my r's so I sound less like an English berk when speaking Italian, but I wake up in the morning still struggling with the dreaded r. But I AM improving...
So if any of you in Italy see someone with a camera around his neck muttering this tongue-twister over and over again, don't worry... non è un pazzo... that will be me, reciting it like a mantra. A mantra to the letter 'r'...
So, I hope everyone I know on Usefilm finds some wonderful subjects to photograph over the coming month, and I'll look forward to catching up when I get back...
Mail: geitalia@virgilio.it
and you think THAT is difficult? Then say rødgrød med fløde;-) Have a wonderful time in beautiful Italy. Bring back some warmth, sun and good photos back for us to enjoy now that the days are getting darker and colder. Fall happily in love, enjoy the cuisine, photograph, live and laugh:-) X Annemette
