Hi Michele, I feed them "THISLE SEED" which is very small and this Finch feeder has very small openings which only Finches and house sparrows can reach the seed. The yellow and black birds are Goldfinches and the others are either house Finches or house sparrows. I go through 20 pounds of this seed every summer. BILL

I like the yellow + black patterned bird...very pretty and love how they all seem to get along...

Hi Nicole, I'm glad you enjoyed my finch photos. I do sit for hours watching them.. I was doing just that the other day when that hawk swooped down and chased them away. BILL NAGY
