Hey Doyle,
Thanks so much for the kind and detailed critique. Those kind of comments really help me with future shots and composition. I appreciate it.
The lens IS killer. I had the 1.4 TC on it (and forgot to change the description again). I have been experimenting with partial metering and I always shoot full manual. I miss some shots that way, but get consistancy in bursts.
I'm taking the plunge into the pro photography field. I'm taking a one year hiatus from work and I'm hoping to get some shots worth selling.
Take care.
Todd

Whoa Todd. this is GOOD! Really good focal clarity on that red eye and the depth is perfect. That blurred FG really frames the shot nicely and pulls the viewer's eye into the composition with that accent of the red eye. . . . and then you get the chance to explore some other areas of the image where the clarity is permitted by the DOF; log, water surface, etc. but distance keeps the eyes where they need to be - IN the shot.
Must be a killer lens (the shot registers at 420mm) . . . but impressive partial metering and manual work . . . some serious skills in this shot.
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~
