The thing I like the most about this shot is the lighting. I think you did well choosing to light from above on it. I wish the front petal was more in focus, with that shallow dof, it would be hard to get it all. The colors are outstanding,
EG, this is another great tulip shot! Is this the same one as before, just not as cropped? I like it, Aiman is right about the good color contrast between the reds/oranges and the dark blue background.
Beautiful colors Eric... wonderful contrast between the deep blues, and the bright, hot yellows and oranges... I love the lighting... it is very dramatic and engaging.... composition wise, I think you may try different croppings here... too centered to my taste... wish if you either go closer, or give it more room of surrounding framing with the deep blue... love it anyway
