Oh yes, that Dylan remains unrepeatable up to now. Many bands wrote strong texts with social conscience, but he was one of the masters. I think because he didn't put as much dramatik elements in his lyrics, but rather described a story - a storyteller/singer perhaps? When I listen to those old LPs it is like listening to somebody that would simply say what is up, and let all the conclusions up to me.
Oh, and yes, I am unshameful enough to still have a turntable! ;-)

Nick,
I was also never a big fan of Zepplin either. Mostly because I am old enough to know them from the other groups that they came from before Zepplin. So, I guess I sort of looked at them as a made up "Super group".
As far as speaking the truth goes, I think there are still a few good bands out there with a social concience. But, you still have to go a long way before you can match early 60's Dylan. His early albums are still set the standard as far as I'm concerned.

Too much admiration for those bands made me forgot about the blue Spot. Sorry, Andre!
It seems to be a single flare from the lens. I didn't even notice that, so I am very greatful that your restless eye discovered it. I'd better have cloned that out, I know, but unfortunately it seems that I was too careless in this case.

Great old Led Zeppelin, though I never was a big fan of them. More of The Who, the influence of which will be quite visible in some future series:
