Very cool shot. This is one of those that you see and really appreciate the person who took it because they had the vision to make a great shot out of something the rest of us drive by every day. Another exciting experiment with "double-imagery," the tower as tunnel--triple-imagery, really, for it's also a lovely flat abstraction. Mister Caldwell is fond of placing man's proudest works against the indifferent skies of nature, a repeated celebration of human achievement and bravery with philosophic undertones about our essential isolation in an uncaring universe.
