Thanks Gary, it was an amazing sight. Photographs don't do the scale of the ship justice - it looked absolutely massive!
Cheers,
Collin.

My sister, who's no photographer, sent me a shot of this ship which I thought was pretty impressive until I saw this image of yours. What amazing colours and I reckon the 3 sec exposure has just about got the water right. Including a little of the beach shows us just how close the ship has come in. A ripper indeed.
Regards, Gary

here's hoping they have some luck moving it tonight/tomorrow. All is at the ready to have a go at it according to the news today.

Beautiful colour and lighting...superb capture.

Thanks Keith. The ship is empty, I think the main concern is leaking fuel and oil into the ocean as the hull has been breached. I think the fuel has somehow been relocated to a higher part of the ship - I'm not completely sure as we have only had power back for a few days and I've missed the news. I doubt they could get another ship close enough though.
Cheers,
Collin.

I like how you have made this distressing incident look so good from a photographic point of view. The starlight effect on the boat's lights make it look almost dreamy and the colours are nice with the long exposure.Better than all those newspaper images.
