Thanks a lot for the info and the explanation, Fabio! The meaning of the word matches the subject very well.
So, as a species it isn't a Wabisabi. Oh well, could I google for it as "Fabio's unknown mushroom kind" too? ;-)
Anyway, I suggest that we give it the name Wabisabi from now on, as long as google can't understand what I mean by refering to somebody else's photos in a search string. ;-)

a mushroom withourt any doubt! (but I don't know it's name:(( 'wabisabi' is a japanese term denomitaing old, rather ugly, mundane things in their beauty ( google for it!:))

What an excellent composition of brownish wooden and earthy tones! Especially the center, as it is dominated by the dry flower (or whatever it is) and being in absolute focus with sharpest details in front of the softer background, turns it to a very distinguished study!

so close to the older sabi than that in basyo's era--about 100 years--in short,good principle advocating the enjoyment of a quiet,leisurely life free from worldly concerns.
