About	This is Cook Forest State Park in Pennsylvania. The 8,500-acre Cook Forest State Park lies in scenic northwestern Pennsylvania. Once called the "Black Forest," the area is famous for its stands of old growth forest. Cook Forest's "Forest Cathedral" of towering white pines and hemlocks is a National Natural Landmark. Original photo was cropped a bit off the bottom and top, applied "clarify" (in PaintShop Pro Photo XI) very strongly which makes it look a bit too contrasty/saturated, but I think it's kind of neat. Below in comments is the original photo, unedited.

i like this one more than the bw version, also the cropping it better done and i like the "bit to contrasty" makes it "fresh and sparkling "

Hi Brigitte,

I've looked at you're two versions of this picture, the original and the posted one, and there are aspects of each that I prefer.

I think the unedited photo is more peacefull and serene than the posted picture. This is, I believe, a result of the increased contrast (and sharpness) you mentioned in your about. I don't think it takes away from the photo at all, it just changes it's atmosphere.

I do like the crop you chose for the posted version, very nice!
