1st of all thank you so very much for you support regarding my work... ;)
2nd of all I value your humble opinion, because one of the top Judges regarding the "Little Miss Texas" contest agrees with you... ;(
Even though Abi won 2 State level categories, one of which was the portfolio I did but, the parents were pulled aside to discuss my work... hehehe!
She could tell that I was a professional photographer, which I'm not yet... But mostly she could tell I was not a child photographer, which I'm not either... At any rate for the National level I have to tone it down a bit, if you know what I mean...
I have been doing Glamour for 2 years and I just didn't perceive how over the top a 4 year old looks with my regular style of shots... My bad indeed... It’s my style, as I’m a shock jock, but this is too important to worry about what I like…
I have spoken at length with her parents and my good friends to see how we will take the next shoot a notch above this 1... ;) We were supposed to shoot this one at the Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth, but it was raining cats and dogs, so we ended up in my home studio, which is not set up for kids... ;(
Next time it will be a different story I can assure you, because I will be ready! This was not intentionally done, but ignorance is no excuse in my book… Thank you once again for your insight…
Martin, This is my favorite of the "Abi" series...very natural, and she looks quite happy & comfortable. The wind-blown hair is a bit much for me, but of course, that's just my humble opinion. :) ~Sheryl
