Hello George, thanks for commenting mine photo. I agree with you. I do not like to be retouched images, in fact I prefer to do a picture in a way that does not need intervention services. And that was in Chrome yet. And this picture is very interesting because it is not a common scene for us that we are not military or yard workers

Excellent point of view and perspective. I also like the lighting you've captured in this shot.

Thanks, George. So, if you are buying a lens that is specifically made for a digital camera, is there any "conversion" needed? According to salesmen, no. I have found that not to be true, though.

I should check what the real ratio is for the Sigma 10-20 I just bought. Not something I checked into before I bought it.

The "lens conversions" are based on the 24mm x 36mm dimensions of a 35mm film negative (a 2:3 ratio). Since most digital sensors (CCD's or similar), the effect is to magnify the image. On my Canon Pro One, the actual focal length is 7mm to 50mm, but because of the APD 'C' sized sensor in the camera, the net presented effect is 28mm to 200mm. Yeah, it gets a bit complicated but what the heck we still shoot.

Yes, I notice you use that lens a bit.... I really don't yet understand the conversions of lenses. I bought the 180250 Tamron lens and later found out it is really a 28 at the low end. I'm wondering if this Sigma 10-20 is truly 10 MM...

Thanks for your kind comment. I shot this at the 7mm (28mm for 35mm equivalency). I do love the the lens. It is a Canon "L" lens ans it never ceases to amaze me.

What an excellent perspective. I assume you had your lens all the way out at 7? This is the perfect scene for a wide angle.

I just got my Sigma 10-20MM in and can't wait for the right shots! That Canon lens of yours must be high dollar.

You've got some perfect light on this, too.
