We live along the coast here in Southern California. My portfolio shows a variety of places . . . Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Palos Verdes (Rocky cliff lined coast from which we can see whales and sea lions), Long Beach and San Pedro. :)

These seals were not far away from the road..! Very impressive,especially the males.I love them and I could stay for hours there and watch them!!!But I didn't pet them either.
You said that you have Sea Lions in your region,if you don't mind when I ask you where do you live?

LOL...yes King of the rock is a good title too!!!It was a nice place where they were, and you can imagine a lot of noise.But I love them and I can stay for hours at such a place. A Kg is 2.2lbs so for those unfamiliar with the metric we're looking at 440 pounds for the male and 220 pounds for the female!This information is from Doyle!!Very kind from him.I'm glad that you like my funny " boss "..LOL!!!!Thank you soooo much my friend and have a nice warm day!

Well, a great shot Dearest Nicole . . . and it illustrates quite clearly why I do not pet these otherwise cute creatures. We have actual Sea Lions here. I also do not pet Sea Lions.
