Thank you Doyle :)
I will be hosting photos on my own webpage soon... with any luck... So the inspiration to go out with my camera will still be there :)
Peeps will even be able to leave comments etc like on here so that will be nice... especially to hear from some of my friends from here... including yourself of course :)
UF is full of really nice people, some I've come to know really well & one in particular I've come to love... maybe, like friends... sometimes paths take us in separate directions... I'd like to believe though that I will keep in touch with people on here... but the way I feel at the moment & especially after the words of a 'curmudgeon' (which by the way is a fantastic word that I've not come across before & I can see being used very often from now on! lol) I'm very reluctant to have anything more to do with this site... UF have not only lost my donor money, I'm afraid they have now lost me also :(
UF should have a proper form of grievance procedure in place... alas seems they do not.
Thank you once again Doyle... I've come to value your opinion, knowledge, help & friendship greatly over the short time we've known each other on here.
Keep well & bright my friend x

Sue . . . I understand. This is for fun and learning and when it ceases to be either, why bother? That said . . . you do know Jeroen has a picture in the dictionary by the definition of curmudgeon, right? ;)

PS: I'd apologize to Jeroen but suspect he agrees.

Thank you for that Doyle & as it happens I'm more annoyed with the comment Jeroen put in the forum.
I'm afraid I can no longer enjoy this site :/ Guess it's time to take my money & my photos elsewhere.
Keep well & bright Doyle

Nope they were oblivious, though there was a crowd behind me. This is the LA Times / UCLA Book Festival and it was crowded, but people were kind to block traffic for my shot.

I can't think everybody enough for all the wonderful ideas. This has just been some good fun and I hope it continues to be such. Our front runners were Gene E. Yuss (4 votes) and Wee Chasie (3 votes) . . . but Wee had been suggested without Chasie just as Chasie had been suggested without Wee.
Man, how tough can it get??? What we need is a Solomon-like decision so, throwing my own input (twisted though it might be) into the equation; I have decided that I would split the child (so to speak).
Our lucky traveler has been named: Gene Yuss Chassie!
Young Gene Yus Chasie is now packing for his first stop in Michigan where he will be visiting with Jessie Voigts (simply because she already sent her address).
E-mail me a location to send this young bear and I will add you to the itenerarie!
And thanks everybody, for making a young bear's dreams come true!
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

~~GRIN~~ Just thought I'd explain my nomination...
Actually, the name GUFRIE is an acronym for Global Use Film Representive and International Entity...
LOL the *GUFRIE* as in *Guthrie*, Woody that is... who's *This Land Is Your Land* has been adapted by many countries to include their own global geographical references... :)))
My thoughts were, that where ever *BEAR* went on his travels, he would be seeing all those places through the eyes of his host ie: This Land is My Land...:)))
My vote... Wee Chasie... :)))
Onie... ~~GRIN~~

Bless Doyle... fantastic idea. Alas I'm afraid I'm leaving myself... I draw the line at personal insults :(
A good friend of mine told me 'thats what you get for getting involved in the politics on here'... alas... guess that is a sad fact.
Anyway.. thank you for all your support & forever keep well & bright :)

Hey there Doyle, I was going to suggest Theodore, but alas...was too late! I think John's suggestion of Wee Wee is by far the funniest, but I can't see myself telling everyone I have to take Wee Wee around with me all week to see the sights! kekekeke My vote goes to Annemette's 'Wee Chasie'...did that come out sounding right?!! Hmm anyway, by all means send this little fellow to my place, he can help with the renovations. He does know how to tile and grout doesn't he? We also have a few birthdays coming up so I hope he likes cake. You may have to do something about his outfit tho'...or at least provide an alternative, I don't think I could stand a weeks worth of bad John Wayne impersonations from Doug.
Cheers, Bek P.s. now would be a good time to tell everyone that he will NOT be stuffed with illicit substances, not when he leaves your place at least!!!!!

Hehe good photo especially because people around look completely indifferent to the dangerous scene and the camera:-) Of course I must vote for Wee Chasie(It was supposed to be one name:-)), and Gufrie sounds cute. What about "The bear in the air"??;- Airbear? Mr. Jensen? Chastain Incognito? No sorryyyy I´d better not ruin the vote now!! Good luck, Wee Chasie*LOL* Annemette
